Podcasts for Virgo Season

It’s Virgo season, which is the season that reminds us to lean into curiousness, schedules, organization, planning, and treating your body right! Those with an abundance of Virgo on their Natal Chart are the people who are detail-oriented, intellectual, and observant - in other words, they are uniquely equipped to deal with the practical details of real life. Virgo is an earth sign that rules logic, systems, diligence, goal-setting, and health.

Virgo season runs from August 23rd - September 23rd (give or take a day, depending on the year). Virgo reminds us to come back down to earth and attune to the everyday reality of the world we’re living in. So, it’s a great time to listen to some podcasts that inspire you to take your life seriously and get on the right track - mentally, financially, and physically! Dive right in to my Virgo season podcast recommendations below.

P.S. Mercury Retrograde begins in Virgo, at the same time the Sun enters Virgo this year. While Virgo Season is about reorganizing our lives to feel more balanced, healthy, and productive, we will need to take a deeper look at our internal thoughts and programming. Use the Mercury Retrograde period to reflect on the root causes that make it hard for you to clean, be healthy, or take care of yourself in general.

Ologies with Alie Ward

“Volcanoes. Trees. Drunk butterflies. Mars missions. Slug sex. Death. Beauty standards. Anxiety busters. Beer science. Bee drama. Take away a pocket full of science knowledge and charming, bizarre stories about what fuels these professional -ologists' obsessions. Humorist and science correspondent Alie Ward asks smart people stupid questions and the answers might change your life.”

10% happier

Ten Percent Happier with Dan Harris

“Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical journalist who had a panic attack on live national television, which led him to try something he otherwise never would have considered: meditation. He went on to write the bestselling book, 10% Happier. On this show, Dan talks with eminent meditation teachers, top scientists, and even the odd celebrity. On some episodes, Dan ventures into the deep end of the pool, covering subjects such as enlightenment and psychedelics. On other episodes, it’s science-based techniques for issues such as anxiety, productivity, and relationships. Dan's approach is seemingly modest, but secretly radical: happiness is a skill you can train, just like working your bicep in the gym. Your progress may be incremental at first, but like any good investment, it compounds over time.”
